Recent research has indicated that the New Zealand education sector is struggling to fund the delivery of the high standards of teaching and resources required to equip our young people for the ever-increasing complexity of our global environment.

Even with a significant increase in Government spending on education, schools must now, more than ever, find the financial resources that they need to undertake activities in the core curriculum from parents, fundraising activities and external grants.

This is the background to a decision by the Cookie Time Charitable Trust to step up to the mark for our kids and make a difference in the education sector.
